It was young, fun and fresh...and then it was a big mess !!! I did not go for this movie because I wanted to see a sucky boy crying over his sucky love story!!!! I hate love story...and I thought you also did, but you gave me the same love story.
Its another Raj met Simran story..the twist?? Raj is named J or Jay or Jay Dhingra . Guy doesn't believe in love...the girl loves to love and in love with love (is that the new concept??)!! Guy meets the girl, pisses the girl off, girl hates the guy, blasts him off....and a coincidence..guy is girls junior at work ( its a production house which makes "love stories") !! She makes life hell for him...he gets sad...she feels bad..they become friends....they go out..guy is fun to hang out with and the girl falls in love...twist 2: role reversal...what used to be a patent dialog of the girl (not so much in love) was said by the guy here: " maine tumhare baare mein kabhi us tarah se socha hi nahi...hum sirf achche dost hain"
And...our macho..cool dude turns to a sucky..all time crying baby...story drags...we know where its going now...he realizes he loves her...and cries!!! love gurus pops out from every corner : "Kuch mat socho..bas meri baat suno" He tries he fails...she goes back to old love (she doesn't love him she does)...she agrees to marry her childhood love ( I forgot to mention he always color coordinated with her..and a lot; this guy needs special mention--will come back to him)... and suddenly one day at dinner with her fiancé she realizes she is not doing the rite thing...and HENCE, the old hindi movie cliche...with another twist...not the girl but the guy is going to airport..girl goes to movie premier..and I dont know why on this earth the same mum who had asked our cry baby to come home, asks him to go back to the girl...and he does and wallah!!! they meet (how new !!!!)
True!! its not a love story...its a saga..a gaga saga!!!!
Before I finish it, few special mentions:
1. Simran's childhood love, the perfect guy and fiancé: Raj...naam toh suna hi hoga
he...gives her a white flower everyday
....he remembers all anniversaries
....he color coordinates with her...even when they are fighting
....and wears "fugly" shirts!!!
2. Veer Kapoor a.k.a. Sameer Soni is still not out of his gay character from Fashion!
3. Checklist for Being in love:

........get jealous
.........sing
.........drama
.........and apparently run to airport
To talk about it...a fun first half, but the second half kills your good memories from first half!!! A dragging second half...you would not want to sit through. Though the sequences are old and cliché, they look new in first half...in second half they showed everything what they promised not to in the first half. The cry baby could have acted a lil better...a few expressions here and there won't tire you much. Sonam looks sweet !!! If you want to like this movie, walk out after interval. Music is not bad...but you don't remember lyrics of any song beyond first four lines !!
A good half watch, so will give it a 2.5 rating out of 5....its average of 5 on 5 for first half and 0 for the second.
