Within a week it has given a new lingo to netizens. Don't be surprised if your facebook wall or twitter timeline throws at you all words ending in an additional -u. Easy to remember and difficult to take it off your mind-u this song has already passed success of "Appidi Podu" and "Ringa Ringa" and has become the next big thing of South Indian music. From what I could find out the lyrics mostly addresses a girl asking her why is she killing the guy, in sense of being difficult or a pain. To me, "Kolaveri Di" simply means if music is good it certainly passes all the barriers of language. I just noticed on twitter "Kolaveri Di" being used as a synonym for cool by Anand Mahindra when he replied to a tweet about XUV saying "So it's Kolaveri cool?".
